Kavya Kapur is a Grade 11 student from New Delhi. Currently a student at Vasant Valley School, Kavya has a deep passion for visual art and aims to pursue it diligently in her future studies and career. She has been developing her artistic skills since the age of four, exploring sketching and painting, capturing every object and scenery around her on the canvas.

Apart from being a religious practitioner of visual arts, Kavya also plays the Piano. From performing at concerts in Delhi to playing her favorite tunes in her own time (including melodies from Star Wars), Kavya makes sense of the world and finds meaning around her through art. Kavya recognizes the power of art to provide avenues for self-expression, build identity, and amplify voices, and her love for history also helps her understand the past and present, thereby understanding spaces and people around her better. At its core, Kavya’s ardent hope is to offer a sense of refuge to people who are otherwise overlooked and contribute to positive social impact, and art has always been and will always be the primary vehicle for this.
